Two episodes cause respective excommunications of Cervantes, for doing their duty, which was to collect wheat, oil and other supplies for the Armada to sail against the English.
These years dedicated to charge for the Real Hacienda begin in 1587 and last until 1594, then going to recover arrears of the checkpoint in Granada, that is, to their debtors.
The criticism has not fully exploited the impact that the office of collector agent has on his work, and especially, about his greatest work, because everything indicates that it would not be Don Quixote what was not being “Cervantes collector”.
